Enjoy nuts, get healthy Nuts make lower risks of obesity, high blood presure |

A medical research has revealed that enjoying nuts does all but good things to people’s health, including sexier abs and lower risks of disease-caused deaths, NBC News reported on Thursday.
In this comparative research with two subject groups ¤Ñ one with regular intake of nuts, the other without the intake ¤Ñ it was confirmed that the former had lower risks of abdominal obesity, high blood pressure and hyperlipidemia than the latter.
The former group also had lower risks of death from medical causes than the latter. Compared with naysayers to nuts, those who eat nuts once a week had 11 percent lower risk, two to four times a week 13 percent, and 28 grams (30~35 peanuts, 16~24 almonds, and 16~18 cashew nuts) on a daily basis 20 percent .
The discovery was found by a team at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the Harvard School of Public Health.
The research analyzed records from two big studies: Nurses’ Health Study which monitored 120,000 subjects since 1976, and the Health Professionals Follow-up Study with more than 50,000 male subjects since 1986.
