An amusement park has become a popular attraction of North Korean residents in Pyongyang.
Free Asia Radio (RAF) based in Washington D.C. has reported that Gaeseon Cheongnyeon (triumphant youth) Park opened in Pyongyang in April last year and has become popular among residents as it was open to generalcitizens.
The radio also reported that tickets in the black market are sold for up to 10 times the regular price due to growing popularity. One ticket is sold 300 won in group but soared to 3,000 won in black market as young couples choose the park as their dating venue. It is very expensive when it is compared with rice priced for 1,850 won a 1kg bag in North Korea.
The park has a gyro drop which drops vertically, a Viking or ship swing and other rides and attractions. The park opens for four hours from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

미국 자유아시아방송(RAF)는 지난해 4월 북한 평양에 들어선 놀이공원 `개선청년공원`이 일반인들에게 개방되며 큰 인기를 몰고 있다고 19일(한국시각) 보도했다.
이 방송에 따르면 정상 가격의 10배에 이르는 암표까지 등장하고 있을 정도다. 단체 입장료의 경우 300원 수준이지만 젊은 연인들이 데이트장소로 많이 찾으면서 최근에 암표 1장에 3000원까지 올랐다는 것이다. 북한에서 쌀 1kg가 1850원 수준인 것을 감안하면 매우 비싼 가격이다.
놀이공원에는 자이로드롭(급강하탑), 바이킹(배그네) 등이 들어서 있으며 개장 시간은 오후 7시부터 11시까지 4시간 정도다.
