Jong Tae-se of the Suwon Samsung BlueWings will tie the knot this December.

The BlueWings announced Wednesday that Jong will be wed to a Korean flight attendant on Dec. 14 at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel in Seoul.

The bride-to-be and Jong met through an acquaintance in May. Her fluency in Japanese eased communication between her and Jong, who was born in Japan.

Jong is a North Korean soccer player currently playing for the Suwon Samsung Bluewings, and is a member of the North Korean national team. He was born to a South Korean father and North Korean mother. He considers himself a North Korean.
Jong debuted in 2006, and after competing in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, moved to a first-division German club, FC Koln, before signing with the Bluewings.
